Location

Principal Power is located in Cobb’s Quay Marina, Hamworthy, Poole. The Marina is in Holes Bay, on the north shores of Poole Harbour, with access to the main harbour and Poole Quay through the Poole Lifting Bridge.
Poole Harbour is one of the world's largest natural harbours and its extensive sheltered waters provide a magnificent haven for recreational sailing and water sports.
Sharing the navigation channels with yachtsmen are Cross-Channel ferries and cargo vessels proceeding to and from the busy commercial Port. The local fishing fleet also arrives and departs at all hours.
Poole boasts a bustling Quay with pubs, restaurants and a marina, and round the corner are some of the best beaches in England. There is something for everyone in Poole.

Directions to the Principal Power Office & Classroom:

From the East via Poole Town
Follow the signs for Poole town, and then the channel ferry terminal. Cross over Poole lifting bridge, passing the Sunseeker buildings on your left. Turn right at the mini roundabout onto Blandford Road, and carry straight on.
At the fourth set of traffic lights; on a crossroads turn right in to Hinchliffe Rd; Cobbs Quay is signposted from this junction at the CO-OP Supermarket. Continue along the road making a sharp left turn and follow the road to the marina entrance, the next turning on the right. Look for the masts! When entering the marina keep to the left hand lane through the barrier and then turn left following the signs to F pontoon and the slipway. The Principal Power office is located alongside the slipway.

From the North and West.
Head into Poole on the A3068 at the A35/A350 junction at Upton. Continue along Blandford Road under the railway bridge, and take the second left after the bridge, Inglesham Way. Cobbs Quay is sign posted from that turning, just follow the small brown signs.
Turn first right off Inglesham way through the estate to a T-junction. Left and then immediately right into Cobbs Quay Marina. Once in the Marina turn left towards the slipway, and there should be parking along the slipway in front of our office.
